Hotel has improved since my last visit. Ugly, moldy, smelly rugs have been replaced. However the hotel is still understaffed. The room was much more costly since last year's stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

After going to this place for 25+ years, you cannot beat the location during the summer. Some what of a private beach. Staff is amazing and friendly. Most of the establishments in the area raked the seaweed, PI did not. Sadly however the new owners have lost touch of value verse cost. At almost $500. per night, prime summer rates, you would think that the hotel would have some incentives. First, our room on the first floor, while we had an awesome view of the ocean, there were two chairs in front of our window where people could smoke and be feet away from our bedroom slider window. Why not corridor off the areas for each room? Cigarette butts everywhere along with empty plastic water bottles. Towels were a joke, you probably couldn't find cheaper ones. Shower knobs in our room rusty and mil-do. Toilet seat broken. Food was excellent in the on premise restaurant. However, if you are spending $35.00 per meal (Dinner) wouldn't you think a salad or bread would be included? (No bread at all!!!) And eating inside, a plastic cup for a $15.00 dollar whisky drink. Come on, we can do better than that!!! I will certainly be back, but paying a steep price in season makes me wonder if I should shop around.

We visited the Pleasant Valley Inn for just one day with family who were staying there. Very clean beach and the staff who worked in the bar were very friendly. Good location.
