Great Hotel with Amazing Staff

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Pleasant View Inn is a must stay if you find yourself in Westerly, RI. This hotel definitely lives up to its name, situated right on the beach, you can't beat the view! The hotel itself has so much character, and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The food was awesome, and they rotated food specials that were always great. The staff and managers were extremely accommodating and friendly - they truly care about their guests. Garrett Martunas was the manager at the restaurant during my stay, and he was great! He went out of his way to ensure myself and other guests were well taken care of. I cannot wait to come back to PVI once it reopens for the summer!

Friendly staff

The staff was very nice. Beautiful location right on the water. The rooms were clean - bathrooms and linen felt clean. The pool was clean. They gave us complimentary drink tickets which was a nice gesture. Coffee and refreshing drinks were available in the lobby. I think I saw someone put out homemade chocolate chip cookies. However, the lobby and our room smelled horrible. My guess is that the strong moldy, musty smell was from the rugs which I felt looked filthy. I have mold allergies and did not feel well the two nights we stayed at the Inn. We did not change rooms because there was carpeting throughout the Inn and we had already paid for the room and could not go to another hotel. We did not eat in the restaurant because of the smell. We would only return if the rugs were replaced with a hard surface, wood, laminate, or tile which I think would eliminate the bad odors and give the place a cleaner feel.

First time staying here ...

First time staying here and I will definitely be back!! I loved everything about this hotel! Very positive experience with breathtaking views!! Everything was great
