We had a large dinner event here that was catered by the restaurant. It was in the high eighties outside, and they chose to put the hot food table right under the main air conditioner which led them to shut off the main cooling system. Needless to say, it quickly grew hot inside the event room, and the staff solution then was to open the windows, flooding the room with outdide heat and humidity. They pointed to a window air condition that was non functional (clogged filter) as their only solution. But it was not cooling, only blowing the hot air around. Management needs to have a better plan that lets them keep the main air conditioner running, and they need to clean the filters on the backup window unit to get it functional. There is no excuse for this lack of planning.

Love staying here. The front desk is always very nice and helpful and the beach is always nice :)

Our server in the restaurant Haley K. was fantastic, She took the time to point out Block Island to us and treated us with warmth and kindness. I mentioned that the last time I visited the area was in 2012, after Super storm Sandy. Haley grabbed a photo album showing us the destruction to the beach and the Pleasant View. I had a couple of issues on the first day of checking in. Once I spoke to Krista she was the most helpful. Krista goes out of her way to make your visit as wonderful as it should be. Her smile and experience with everything made the stay a wonderful week. Welcome guest with a smile and treat people with respect, makes a big difference. Krista is the only reason we didnt turn around and go home. She changed how our experience was. We were first treated very poorly by one employee to the point we we had regrets immediately. I will now definitely return next year. The rooms the location couldnt be better. I recommend staying there if you need anything or have concerns About anything reach out to Krista in the office you won't be disappointed.
